Steve Heller is a Cornish comic, rapper and DJ originally from Redruth. He is mainly known for his blog, Cornish News, where he posts music videos and jokes about life in Cornwall.

He shot into the limelight in 2016 when he released his first rap single – Camborne That’s Me. He has since played Cornish festivals all over the Duchy performing on the same bill as the Fishermen’s Friends, The Wurzels and many other popular acts. In 2018, Steve was invited to audition on the X-Factor, where he performed live at the Wembley Arena to thousands of people, but failed to impress judges – Simon Cowell, Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson.

Alongside his comedy work, Steve the “Pasty Smeller” has spent years working the DJ circuit and has enjoyed residencies at the Zone nightclub in Redruth, Remedies and Mangos at Falmouth and has played festivals, including the Masked Ball. He currently resides at Camborne’s most popular bar – Tyacks where he plays a mixture of top 40, dance and singalong party hits.
