KAYA STREET

As featured on BBC Radio 6’s Don Letts Culture Clash and multiple spins on BBC IntroducingKaya Street is a genre-blending powerhouse with a festival-ready live show that commands attention. From Afrobeat and highlife grooves to reggae, soul, and socially-reflective storytelling, their music moves both the body and the mind — a true soundtrack to the times.

Kaya Street is the creation of Harry Birch, a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer whose vision drives the project. Over the years, the project has evolved from a 10-piece brass ensemble into a hybrid live-and-electronic powerhouse, combining live horns, drums, and vocals with inventive production to create cinematic, high-energy performances built for open-air festivals and large audiences.

Produced by Dubmatix, the band’s upcoming releases showcase explosive grooves, intricate arrangements, and vibrant melodies. Each track reflects Kaya Street’s commitment to rhythm, social commentary, and hope — a sound that is as infectious as it is thought-provoking.

On stage, Kaya Street bursts into life: three front singers commanding the crowd, shimmering desert-blues guitar lines, deep bass, and soaring horns collide with rhythm and intensity that is urgent, electrifying, and alive. Their performances are designed to move audiences, from dancing in the front rows to feeling the pulse of the world reflected in the music.
